Our department was started in the academic year of 2000-2001. Our department has excelled in its infrastructure facilities by keeping on par with the latest trends. About 180 Students have enrolled in the Mechanical Engineering branch supported by experienced teaching and non-teaching staffs.

          The Department has been producing excellent results with distinctions in the university examinations consistently. Our students have been actively associating themselves with industries through industrial projects, In plant training and industrial visits with organizations like FORD, TVS and L&T.

          Almost 90 % of the students have been placed in various Multi National companies in very high salaries and also students are placed abroad through our Placement Department. Our college has MOU with the following companies like MRF, TVS, FORD, L&T, HCL, WIPRO Technologies, Sundaram Brake linings, Sundaram Clayton, Sundaram Fasteners, Tvs Lucas, ETA GROUPS, and Ashok Leyland.

          We are having specialized staffs for taking specialized subjects like Thermal Engineering , Design of Machine Elements, Mechanics of Materials, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Automobile Engineering, Industrial Engineering & Management.

          We are providing Communication Skills to final year Students which will be helpful in their group discussion and one & one interview. We are conducting Special classes for weaker students who want special attention. It also improve the students academic performance and college .

We are conducting Seminars and providing Guest Lectures from the eminent person to share their Experience which will helpful to our students and also staff. We are conducting Symposium each semester along with nearby institutions to gain knowledge in various fields of mechanical stream.

          We are conducting technical events and games in various mechanical fields in the Symposium. We also conduct the paper presentation competition to present different papers in mechanical area along with neighborhood colleges. We also giving prices to the students who performed with good communication skills and body language, so that it will be striving force to the students for their career.

          From this academic year of 2014 -2015 the intake of the mechanical department is 120 students which are under approval. We also motivate the students in the sports field. And the students are participated in various tournaments in district level and state level and we won more trophies along with certificates.

          We are conducting department Sports after the college hour and practicing our students in various Sports.
