Basic Engineering Department had started during the year 1996 with 120 students, now the strength is extended to 420 students. Discipline and hard work is the main slogan of this Institution. Students discipline and punctuality are taken care of which will help them in their all round personality development. Students are provided with Identity Card with in a month of their admission to the college.

The Department has well equipped laboratories with qualified and experienced staff members.  Staff members encourage the students in studies as like their own child. Special care is taken for slow learners. Our staff members meet at least ten parents daily to improve the performance of their ward. Weekly class tests are conducted to monitor the feedback of the students. Besides this, Internal assessments on periodical basis are conducted.  Assignments are given to train the students for additional coaching and practice. An up to date information of the student’s details and progress are recorded. A team of 15 well qualified and efficient staff members handle the Basic Engineering Department. In previous years 100% result was produced in communication English, Engineering Mathematics. We also produced results were 48 students scored centum in Engineering Mathematics, 8 students scored centum in Engineering Physics, 6 Students scored in Engineering Chemistry. We have a spacious and ventilated Drawing Hall with drawing tables and Boards , which will  enhance the skill of Technical Drawing. This will help the student community to cope up and cater the demands of the present world. All our class rooms are well furnished with Glass Boards and seating arrangement thus  creating an atmosphere of effective teaching and learning process.

          Our Head of the Department Mr. T. Shakeel Ahamed  a capable senior lecturer has also published two books for ENGINEERING MATHEMATICS and APPLLIED MATHEMATICS  as per the syllabus of DOTE.
